For most candidates, CPA exam prep is the single biggest education purchase after a degree. A full review course can cost several thousand dollars, and that sits on top of exam section fees, licensing costs, and the income you give up while studying. So the question is not only "is Becker good?" but "what will Becker actually cost me, and how should I pay for it?"
This Becker review looks at Becker Professional Education as a finance decision. We checked Becker's official CPA package prices, its Flexpay installment terms, its pass guarantee policy, and its free-trial offer. Prices were checked on October 8, 2026; Becker runs frequent promotions, so confirm the current figure before you buy.

What You Are Paying For
Becker sells exam review for the CPA, CMA, CIA, and Enrolled Agent credentials, plus CPE subscriptions for licensed professionals. For CPA candidates, the main purchase is a four-section package covering the three Core sections (AUD, FAR, REG) and one Discipline (BAR, ISC, or TCP).

The package price buys course access, lectures, practice questions and simulations, digital textbooks, Becker's Newt AI study helper, and, on higher tiers, coaching and tutoring sessions. It does not include the exam section fees you pay to sit each part of the CPA exam, which vary by jurisdiction.
Becker CPA Package Prices
| Package | List price | Fall sale price (until Oct 12, 2026) | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Concierge | $6,349 | $4,999 | Unlimited |
| Pro+ | $4,044 | $2,891 | Unlimited |
| Pro | $3,845 | $2,692 | Unlimited |
| Advantage | $2,499 | No sale price shown | 24 months |
Two things matter for your budget here. First, the gap between list and sale price is large, up to about 30% on the Pro tiers, so timing a purchase around a promotion can save more than any payment-plan choice. Becker's fine print says promotions cannot be combined with other offers, do not apply retroactively, and do not apply when an employer or organization pays Becker directly.
Second, access length has a cost dimension. Advantage is the cheapest, but 24-month access means a long interruption could force you to pay again. Unlimited access on Pro and above works like insurance against a delayed timeline.
Flexpay: 0% Interest, But Not Free
Becker's Flexpay plan lets you split a package into installments at 0% interest, and Becker says all applicants are pre-approved. For CPA Exam Review:
- 6-month and 12-month plans are available on all CPA packages;
- a 24-month plan is available on eligible packages (Becker lists Advantage and Premium);
- each plan carries a non-refundable processing fee of $69, $89, or $119 depending on the plan;
- the first installment is charged at purchase, in addition to the fee;
- the Concierge package requires a down payment and must be ordered by phone.
Here is what that looks like on the Pro package at its October 8 sale price of $2,692, before the processing fee:
| Plan | Approximate monthly payment | Processing fee as share of price |
|---|---|---|
| Pay upfront | $2,692 once | 0% |
| 6 months | about $449 | 2.6%–4.4% (fee of $69–$119) |
| 12 months | about $224 | 2.6%–4.4% (fee of $69–$119) |
A flat fee of $69–$119 is modest compared with typical credit card interest on a balance of this size, so Flexpay is usually cheaper than carrying the cost on a card. It is still a real cost. If you can pay upfront without draining your emergency savings, you avoid the fee entirely. If you cannot, Flexpay is a cleaner option than a personal loan for most candidates; our personal loan comparison explains why APR and fees matter more than the monthly payment, and our guide to loan offers that look cheap but are not covers similar traps.
The Pass Guarantee as a Financial Safety Net
Becker's pass guarantee works a bit like partial cover for a failed exam section. It is worth understanding exactly what it pays:
- Pro and Pro+: $250 toward the retake of a failed section, once per section, up to four sections and $1,000 in total, plus one coaching and one tutoring session for that section.
- Concierge: a refund of 25% of the purchase price per failed section, once per section, up to four sections and never more than the original price, paid by check within 60 days, minus shipping or Flexpay processing fees.
Like an insurance policy, the guarantee has exclusions. You must reach Becker's Exam Day Ready status in that section first: complete 80% of concept videos, complete 80% of the multiple-choice questions and task-based simulations in each module, and score at least 50% on all simulated and mini exams. You must sit the exam within 12 months of purchase and file within 90 days of the failed score release. No-shows and blackout periods do not qualify, purchases paid directly by employers or universities are excluded, and the guarantee only covers US purchases.
Two Flexpay details are easy to miss. Your Flexpay account must be current to claim. And for Concierge refunds, Becker says Flexpay users receive the refund only after all installments are paid; a refund cannot be used to cancel unpaid installments. If you are relying on the guarantee as a backstop, budget to keep paying the plan regardless.
Test Before You Commit Money

The cheapest way to reduce risk is to try the product first. Becker's 14-day free CPA trial, for new customers and limited to one free course per user, includes one full unit per exam section, instructor videos, practice questions and simulations with solution videos, practice tests, digital textbooks, flashcards, and a 30-question readiness diagnostic. Progress carries over if you buy. Becker also lets candidates try all three Discipline sections for 30 days, which helps avoid paying for the wrong Discipline.
Other ways to lower the cost:
- Ask your employer or university first. Many firms and schools pay for review courses directly. Note that direct-bill purchases are excluded from Becker's promotions and pass guarantee, so check what support comes with the employer route.
- Check the Newt D. Becker Scholarship. Becker describes it as financial assistance to prepare for the CPA Exam.
- Match the tier to your risk. If you are confident you will finish within two years, Advantage is the lowest outlay. If your timeline is uncertain, unlimited access may be cheaper than buying twice.
Beyond the CPA: CMA and CPE Costs

The same logic applies to Becker's other products. On October 8, 2026, CMA Review Pro was listed at $1,599 with a sale price of $1,099 until October 19, 2026, and CMA Advantage at $1,299 with a sale price of $999. CMA Flexpay plans of 6 or 12 months apply to eligible purchases over $500. For licensed accountants, Becker's CPE Prime subscription was listed at $799 with a sale price of $400 using code FALL50, and Prime 2-Year at $1,429 with a sale price of $786 using code FALL45; Becker's footnote says that offer ends October 12, 2026.
Who Should Pay for Becker
Becker makes financial sense if you:
- will realistically complete most of the course, which is what unlocks the guarantee;
- can buy during a promotion or have employer support;
- prefer a 0% installment plan with a flat fee over a credit card or loan.
Think twice if you:
- would need to borrow at high interest to cover the cost;
- only need practice questions, where cheaper products exist;
- cannot commit to sitting the exam within 12 months, which limits the guarantee.
